Setting Up Your Camera with the Reolink App

Before connecting your camera to the MoorMesh platform, you must first set it up using the manufacturer's official app. This ensures the hardware is working correctly and connected to the cellular network.

Please note that the full official instructions for setting up your Reolink Go camera with the app are best referenced from the Reolink web site here.

This is duplicated below for ease and convenience.

Preparation

A 4G camera, a compatible SIM card, and the Reolink App installed on your phone (scan the QR code below to download if needed).

Step 1. Insert SIM Card and Power on the Camera

1. Choose and insert the SIM Card

If you don't use the Reolink SIM card, refer to this link to choose a compatible SIM card: How to Choose SIM Card for Reolink 4G Cameras. (Skip this step if you are using the Reolink SIM card.)

After choosing the compatible SIM card, find the SIM slot on the camera and insert the SIM card correctly.

2. Power On the Camera

  • Go, Go Plus, Go Ultra, Go Series G330/G340: Install the battery.
  • Other 4G cameras: Switch on the camera using the power button.

Wait for the LED: red → blue. When you hear “Network connection succeeded,” the camera is online.

If not, see Introduction to the Voice Prompt of Reolink 4G Cameras.

Step 2. Initialize the Camera

  1. Tap the “+” icon in the top-right corner to start the setup.

  1. Scan the square QR code on the camera. Alternatively, tap Manual Input to manually enter the UID (a 16-character code starting with “9527” located under the QR code). Then tap Next.

  1. For customers using a Reolink SIM card only

Note: If you are using a non-Reolink SIM card, you may skip the activation procedure. However, please ensure that the SIM card is activated with available data.

Some Reolink 4G cameras come with a Reolink SIM card, which needs to be activated before use. The App can detect via the camera’s UID whether a SIM card is included. If a Reolink SIM card is detected, scanning the UID will first prompt you to activate the SIM card before continuing with the setup.

  1. You’ll see the "Device initialization" screen. Create the login password and name your camera, then tap Next.

Now the initialization is finished, and you can move it to the position you want. If you have multiple cameras, simply repeat the setup steps above for each one.
