Setting Up Your Reolink Camera with MoorMesh
This guide walks you through connecting your Reolink 4G camera to MoorMesh so alerts can be processed and shared with your club.
⚠️ Before You Start
Before setting anything up in MoorMesh, make sure:
- Your camera is fully set up in the Reolink app
- You can connect to it and view the live feed on your phone
- Motion alerts are enabled in the Reolink app
- Telegram is set up and connected to MoorMesh (important for real-time alerts)
All camera configuration is done in the Reolink app — MoorMesh simply receives and processes alerts.
Step 1: Register Your Camera in MoorMesh
- Log in at moormesh.com
- Go to My Boats
- Click Add Camera
- Enter a clear name (e.g. Interior camera)
- Click Register Camera

Step 2: Copy Your Unique Email Settings
After registering, MoorMesh generates a unique email configuration for your camera.
This is how your camera communicates with MoorMesh.
You’ll see:
- SMTP Server
- Port
- Username (starts with cam_)
- Password
- Sender Email (FROM)
- Recipient Email (TO – ends in cloudmailin.net)
⚠️ These are unique to your camera.
⚠️ You must enter them exactly as shown.

Step 3: Enter Settings in the Reolink App
In the Reolink app:
- Open your camera
- Tap the settings (⚙️ icon)
- Go to:
- Notifications
- Email Alerts

- Enter the settings from MoorMesh:
Important:
- Sender Email = the cam_...@moormesh.com address
- Recipient Email = the cloudmailin.net address
- SSL/TLS = ON
- Port = 587
💡 Tip:
If you’re using iPhone + Mac, copy/paste directly.
Otherwise, log into MoorMesh on your phone to avoid typing errors.

Step 4: Save and Trigger Test Alert
When you tap Save in the Reolink app:
- The camera sends a test email
- This triggers a real MoorMesh alert
Step 5: Cancel the Test Alert (Within 90 Seconds)
If Telegram is set up, you’ll instantly receive:
⚠️ Motion detected on your boat
You’ll have 90 seconds to cancel it. If not, please check your email as you'll have a similar email.
Tap the link in the message.
You’ll see a confirmation screen showing:
- Alert cancelled successfully
- Your club was not notified

After cancelling:
- No further MoorMesh alerts will trigger for 5 minutes
- This prevents repeated false alarms during setup

✅ That’s It
Your camera is now connected to MoorMesh and ready to send alerts.
⚠️ Common Pitfalls
- Incorrect email settings (most common issue)
- Sender/Recipient emails mixed up
- Missing characters in the password
- Telegram not set up (you’ll miss the 90-second cancel window unless you check your email)
