Quick Arming Your Alarm
Quick Arm / Disarm Using the Reolink Home Screen
There’s a faster way to arm and disarm your camera without digging through settings.
In the Reolink app:
- Open the app
- Tap the Home tab
- Find your camera in the list
- Look for the PIR icon (motion sensor symbol)
- Tap it to toggle:
- BLUE "PIR" = Armed
- GREY "PIR" = Disarmed
👍 Why This Matters
- Much faster than going into settings
- Ideal for everyday use when arriving/leaving your boat
- Reduces the chance of forgetting to arm/disarm
⚠️ One Thing to Watch
The PIR icon is not very obvious in the interface.
- It can be easy to miss at first
- Make sure you’re toggling the correct camera
✅ Best Practice
Use this method as your default routine:
- Leaving the boat → toggle PIR ON
- Returning → toggle PIR OFF before boarding

Think of this as your “one-tap alarm switch” inside Reolink.
